Construction
This project was redesigned to increase manufacturability of the parts and reduce cost. Because of this, most of the manufacturing was done using either a band saw or a drill press, with only a few parts made on either the manual lathe or milling machine.
Much of this project was constructed from structural shapes such as tube, angle iron, and C-channel.
A hydraulic press will be purchased for this project and subsequently adapted so as to better fit on the current setup.
The most difficult part that will be constructed for this project is the Ram.
