In the first test, using standard operating procedures, delamination percentage of 30% was achieved. This is lower than the 50% delamination achieved last year.

Subsequent tests have improved the process by reducing the distance between bends from 2 inches to 1 inch. This has the negative effect of decreasing the material mass flow rate. However, for this test material flow rate is considered less important than delamination percentage. Smaller length between bends produced greater delamination, closer to 50% as desired.
